Backuplist+,

a simple solution for protecting your files

I created backuplist+ because I was tired of complex backup software and wanted a simple utility program that could store a list of files and folders that could then be copied to an external location. Once your list of backup files is complete, you can add any options you like from the settings panel. Without any extra options backuplist+ will just copy the files to the selected destination folder. It is that easy! The simple and elegant interface makes this easy and intuitive.

Carbon Copy Cloner and SuperDuper are fantastic cloning tools but backuplist+ offers a simpler list approach and offers incremental snapshot style backups and custom rsync options for advanced users. Backuplist+ can make perfect bootable clones of your system as well. I highly recommend Copy Cloner for cloning and its creator, Mike Bombich, has kept backuplist+ alive too by providing OSX support for new versions of rsync. He is the most knowledgeable person out there when it comes to OSX and backups. Backuplist+ and Carbon Copy Cloner offer different approaches and in my mind do not compete with each other. I know many users who use both apps for different purposes.

Backuplist+ also has some interesting special features such as being able to automatically add all your user system and application preferences via the "File" menu. See "Add System preferences" for more...

For advanced users there are a lot of options available in the settings panel which make backuplist+ versatile for many backup/copy situations. Backuplist+ can also make system clones that are exact bootable replicas of the original disk.
